Join ClubTravelNOW.org's 1st Anniversary Celebration at Puerto Princesa and El Nido on Sept. 10-13, 2011

This year, join ClubTravelNOW.org once again as we celebrate our first anniversary in – for sentimental purposes – Palawan still, the same island where we launched the club last year. But this time, we'll have the celebration at the precious grandeur of world-class nature destinations Puerto Princesa and El Nido!

Great Palawan Escape: Puerto Princesa + El Nido
The ClubTravelNOW.org Anniversary Edition
September 10-13, 2011
Full details >>here.

Trivia: Why did we organize ClubTravelNOW.org? It's because we want to cultivate a community of travellers who would like to see beautiful sights around the Philippines first and foremost, and later also in Asia, Europe and the rest of the world. Read about it at TenMinutesTops.com.

From January 18-20, 2011, ClubTravelNOW.org hosted guests from Microsoft Premier Field Engineering - Southeast Asia (PFE SEA) who had their bi-annual Offsite event in Boracay Island, Philippines.

The guests came from countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. During the 3 days, the team had a teambuilding and R&R, island hopping, including a team talent night dubbed "PFEs Got Talent - Boracay".

On the last day, the team conducted an Outreach activity with the Ati Village in Brgy. Bulabog, Balabag, Boracay which has a community of 140 atis - the original tribes that inhabited the islands. ClubTravelNOW.org Buddies Tristan and Pao organized and oversaw the whole event, with ClubTravelNOW.org member John Baterna as event photographer.

The group was billeted at the beautiful Le Soleil de Boracay.

A Great Beginning for ClubTravelNOW.org

Last September 11, 2010, ClubTravelNOW.org was officially launched via its first organized group tour to the beautiful islands of Palawan, particularly in Coron. Forty-eight (48) nature lovers, adventurers, travellers, and friends made Coron, Palawan home for the 4 days and 3 nights of stay there.

It was a full-packed trip, with visits to the Children's Chance for Tomorrow Foundation (CCFT) as part of our eco-tourism advocacy, as well as a dip at the only saltwater hotspring in the Philippines - the Maquinit Hot Springs, all on Day 1. Day 2 was be an all-day island-hopping tour to the Siete Pecados, Kayangan Lake and the Twin Lagoons. Day 3 was be a visit to the Calauit Safari to meet-and-greet with the wildlife. After which, more island hopping to the beautiful white sand beaches along the way. The night was be capped with a trip to a local diner called Kawayanan Grill to sample the cuisine. It was during this time that the pioneering members of ClubTravelNOW.org got their various freebies from the ClubTravelNOW.org sponsors. The next day, we greeted the morning with a trek up Mt. Tapyas, to enjoy the panoramic views of the Calamianes Group of Islands. And then it was back to Manila.

Why did we organize ClubTravelNOW.org? It's because we want to cultivate a community of travellers who would like to see beautiful sights around the Philippines first and foremost, and later also in Asia, Europe and the rest of the world.

ClubTravelNOW.org to visit Children's Chance for Tomorrow Foundation

posted Oct 12, 2009, 5:34 PM by Unknown user   [ updated Oct 5, 2012, 9:03 AM by ClubTravelNOW.org Admin ]

Among the principles of eco-tourism is providing positive experiences for both visitors and hosts, as well as providing financial benefits and empowerment for the local people. It is our hope that you are one with us in espousing this kind of tourism, where giving back to the places we visit is part and parcel of the desire to take in new and wonderful experiences from a blessed vacation. ClubTraveNOW.org is proud to say that our chosen beneficiary of this giving back on our Coron, Palawan trip from September 11-14, 2010 is Children’s Chance for Tomorrow Foundation (CCFT).

Children's Chance for Tomorrow Foundation (CCFT) is an SEC registered non-governmental organization founded by William D. Baldwin III. Since 2005, its global mission is to provide holistic, loving solutions to the needs of orphaned, abandoned and impoverished children. Their programs and facilities fulfill the children’s needs for housing, education, and community. With CCFT’s support and care, children gain the necessary hope, self-reliance and confidence to become responsible, compassionate adults. CCFT's facilities are located in Coron town. To date, CCFT has 63 children under its care, with ages ranging from 3 years to more than 11 years old. CCFT welcomes any form of humanitarian support or contribution - whether in goods, services, or finances. ClubTravelNOW.org will be making a visit to CCFT as part of our itinerary on our first day in Coron. We look forward to seeing the children especially since we heard they have also prepared a little something for our guests.
